DURING THE WORSHIP SERVICE

Nursery:  We offer Nursery care for children newborn to 36 months in Rm.120, 8:30 AM -12:00 PM.  Our paid staff of certified  nursery care workers  provide a loving, nurturing, safe, and engaging environment with supervision for our youngest members and visitors.
Our Nursery workers are  committed Christians who embody our church mission statement, “Abiding in Christ:  Sent to Grow, Shine, and Love.” They are committed to service and are motivated to serve because of a commitment to Christ and a desire to minister to God’s children with a loving attitude.
A genuine love for children must dominate the nursery worker’s attitudes, thoughts, and actions.  A child senses whether or not a loving person is caring for them.  They will develop a sense of trust, as they feel secure in the caretaker’s love.
This position requires a satisfactory background check and have Current CPR and First Aid Certifications.

Children’s Church: During 11:00 AM Worship Service
All children ages 3 through Kindergarten are invited to Children’s Church in  Room 119 after the message and can be picked up there after worship.
Children have the unique opportunity to have their own class following the Message for Young Disciples. It is taught by a core group of volunteer teachers who share Jesus’s love with the children.

SUNDAY MORNING FAITH FORMATION:     9:45 AM – 10:55 AM

Sunday morning is a special time for faith formation at KGPC! This year, we are using the DWELL Curriculum for faith formation.

  • IMAGINE (Pre-K and Kindergarten)
    Room 121

At this level children get to use their vivid imaginations to experience the sights, sounds and people in God's story and to explore how they can live in and out of that story.
  • WONDER (First and Second Grade)
    Room 125
Children in this class are encouraged to ask their favorite "why" and "how" questions as they engage God's Big Story, experiencing a sense of wonder and awe at the greatness and love of our God.
  • MARVEL (CLUB 345)
    Room 118
In this level, third, fourth and fifth graders explore smaller portions of Scripture in more depth, allowing students to dig deep into and marvel at God's Word.

If you have a question that isn't answered by our content above, please contact our Grow Ministry Team Leader - Pat Bowling or  Amanda Pine, our Christian Faith Formation Director.

Boy Scouts
Boy Scout Troop 419 is chartered and sponsored by KGPC. In Scouting, boys start with their best "right now selves" and grow into their "very best future selves". It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life.  If you have a boy between the ages of 11 and 18 who is interested in Scouting, we’re excited to have him visit our troop! Scouts meet Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 PM outside/in the church Fellowship Hall when inclement weather.
You don’t have to belong to the church to join.  If you have a Scout or potential Scout who is interested, contact the Scoutmaster:
